"Eye examination at DRI"

About: Doncaster Royal Infirmary / Ophthalmology

(as the patient),

My appointment at the Doncaster Royal Infirmary's Orthoptics department was for 16:15 and I arrived at 16:10. I have been there before so I didn't need to go to reception. I was called shortly after I arrived and had my eyes tested and had drops put in them. I waited approximately 30 mins before seeing the specialist, Mr P Noble. He was very pleasant and looked into both my eyes with some special equipment. He explained what the problem was and suggested I return in 6 months time, as I have cataracts in my right eye and it was not possible yet to see how they would deteriorate.

The travelling to hospital and the waiting was the worst bits of the experience, but this is to be expected. By and large, I can't grumble though.
