"Good care from Community Matron and at Southport hospital"

About: Central Lancashire PCT / Community nursing North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust Southport & Formby District General Hospital

(as the patient),

I'm very satisfied with my care at home. Community matron Sue Boughey is wonderful. She makes sure I get to my out-patients and gets my prescription if needed. I have severe chest problems, breathing difficulties and diabetes so it's great that she comes and sees me at home.

I was last in Southport General two weeks ago and the ambulance crew who took me there were wonderful. All the nurses looked after me and gave me lots of cups of tea - very caring.

The escort home when I was discharged was also very nice.

Dear Diligent190

The comments you have made about your experiences of your own personal NHS healthcare are heartening.

You state that you are very satisfied with your care at home. The Community Matron Service is particularly concerned with ensuring that patients are provided with advice and support to ensure that they can stay living in their preferred environment for as long as possible.

As you have thought it was important that you pay a compliment your Community Matron, Sue, I will ensure that Sue is aware of your comments.
