"Kindness and Respect from the Scottish Ambulance Service"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service

(as a relative),

Before Christmas my son who had mental health issues was taken by ambulance on a number of occasions to the Western Infirmary and the Royal Alexandra Hospital. On every occasion he praised the care of the ambulance staff who treated him with kindness, professionalism and respect. Sadly my son has died but I would like to say a big thank you on his behalf.

Dear tigermum,

We are really sorry to hear that your son has sadly passed away.

We appreciate the time you have taken to contact us and to let us know that your son thought highly of our Ambulance staff. I will be sure to pass this on to the Division.

Kind Regards,

Claire

Claire - SAS and (the Police) were bright stars in my son's care. I am delighted to highlight excellent practice in the expectation that other organisations will learn how to improve their care of people with mental health issues.
