"Long delays for a test"

Last year, I went to see a doctor at my local hospital, for a problem I was having for some time and was told, before they could do any thing, I was to have test done (Oesophageal). I was told we are very sorry there is a three to four month waiting list to have this done. That was back in may of 2008. So I waited til Oct 2008 and phoned hospital to find how far up the list I was, to be told sorry we seem to have missed you on the list, leave with us and we will get back to you.

A week later, I get a letter from the hospital to say we have you an appointment for the 24th Feb 2009. So I phoned again and asked what was going on? They were sorry, but the only way they could see me sooner was if there was anyone who cancelled, then I was to be put in that slot. So now its Feb 2009 and got letter from the hospital to say my appointment is cancelled on the 24th Feb, and a new one has been now made for the 20th of June 2009. Though I have not been able to talk to anyone because of the weather no one has got to work at hospital yet.
