"Mixed experiences of miscarriage care"

About: Basildon University Hospital / Gynaecology Basildon University Hospital / Maternity

(as the patient),

I had a missed miscarriage at 13 weeks, to initial experience from Nurses was very good. The experience with Doctors was not, 3 hours wait to be told what was happening to me.

After 10 weeks of complications and bleeding and numerous appointments to the hospital in which at every appointment I had to repeat my medical history and relive the miscarriage again, I was back for more scans.

The hospital lost my notes and the notes they found stated I was 22 weeks pregnant, I was not. I would have been 22 weeks and lost my baby 10 weeks earlier.

2 days later at another scan the scanning midwife asked if I was there to have my first scan for my pregnancy. Inappropriate and extremely distressing.
