"ward 43 had been reopened due ..."

About: Countess Of Chester Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

ward 43 had been reopened due to the demand for beds. It was not very clean and staffed mainly by bank nurses. The staff were so busy they hardly had time to breath let alone spend time with patients. Majority of staff were loverly despite being so busy. There was room for improvement in several areas especialy the care of elderly confused patients .

i found the food to be of a high standard.

What could be improved

staffing levels. communications over treatment. hygiene and the general cleaniness of the ward.

Anything else?

i believe that hand washing on entereing and leaving the ward for staff and visitors should be compulsory. Also more obvious hand washing from the staff after dealing with patients.
