About: Southmead Hospital

A great big thank you to all the staff on 33a. They helped make my stay of 5 days as good as they could. Unfortunately there are some negatives to my stay. My main concern is the food. Asking patients for their choice a few hours before the meal in my opinion does not work. On one occasion by the time we were asked there were only 2 mains available as the other gates had there orders first. There doesn't appear to be any allowance for people that have special dietary needs. Another day during my stay we were offered savoury veg and rice but when the orders arrived they were chicken curry. There were other things too but I think there are the main issues in my view. As I said the catering staff are in lauded in the above praise they are amazing as they are the front Line and get all the gripes from the patients. Please could this be addressed as soon as possible.
