"dont go to this hospital it is bad for lyour..."

About: Watford General Hospital

I was admitted with a seizure. After the first day I was transferred to what I believe to be Red ward.. I remained there for 6 days and half of the time did not receive an evening meal. When I asked for something to eat I was offered a sandwich. Being wheat in tolerant I could not eat this so basically starved until breakfast. I asked for a salad bowl or another option. 'apparently medicare.'or perhaps they should call themselves medidontcare do not provide this In the morning I was offered tea or coffee, when I asked for a decaffeinated coffee I was told no medicare do not provide this either. I asked what I should drink and was told water It was then suggested that when my visitors came they go to the vending machine and buy me a decaffeinated coffee. The three little ladies that were in beds next to me wanted a biscuit with there morning tea, I asked a nurse if they could have a biscuit..............no medidontcare .............do not provide biscuits as the nurses steal them, which I believe to be a load of rubbish. My daughter bought all of them a packet of their favorite biscuits and was also buying me food I think it is criminal that a hospital employ a company that does not feed the patients or cater for anybody with food intolerance's When I got out of bed on the second day I felt very dizzy and asked the nurse if I could hold her arm, she said no we are trained to let the patient fall so that we do not get hurt after gripping onto the edge of the bed saying I felt faint, she eventually got me a zimmer frame.Because I had a canuler .in my arm I was not allowed to shower for 3 days. I became quiet upset about this. A male nurse that I had not seen before said this is ridiculous he did go and get some cling film and taped it around my arm so that I could shower. The day before I was due to leave one of the nurses decided that I had to be moved again. It was just before the evening meal and the drug trolley came around I asked to stay until I had eaten. She said no the meal will be sent to the ward you will be going to. Of course it didn't. This ward had only 2 agency nurses staffing it . I asked one of them to phone down to the previous ward and was told it was not her job. I Then said dont worry I will do it myself when she heard me ask for the number of the hospital. She did go and phone down to the ward, after calling me a' trouble maker' The next morning I was told I needed to arrange for transport to pick me up from the discharge lounge. My daughter who is a teacher arranged for somebody to cover while she came to get me.When I arrived in the discharge lounge another agency nurse asked if I had transport arranged said yes my daughter is on her way. When my daughter arrived I got up to leave, the agency nurse said you cant go until you have seen the doctor and been discharged. I said OK let me see the doctor she said.oh no there is a 2 hour wait. I said why didnt you tell me.this. I just walked out
