John Young Ward is renowned in the hospital as having patients who on an individual basis by screaming and shouting jkeep the whole and entire ward awake. Neither the doctors and the nurses don't seem to be able to do anything. The whole ward just have to put up with the fact that they are not going to get a solid nights sleep. There are some very sick and frail people on this ward and they are terrified. They are notable to sleep and there are no words of reassurance from anyone! This is the most horrifying thing I have ever had to go through. I have to take medication every 4 hours so I am woken in the early hours, but when this type of disruptive behaviour stars at 9.30 in the evening and shows no sign go letting up at 11.00 that really is quite shocking. As I type this person at 9,30 walked with Zimmer frame the whole length of the ward and is banging the closed and locked ward doors with the Zimmer frame demanding to be let out!!!! It's almost 11.00 and this person is not asleep, not in their room and has not stopped shouting, the chances of quiet before midnight is remote. Let me add this is not a one off. I have seen this at least half a dozentimes!
