"A shambles !"

About: William Harvey Hospital

My mother was admitted last Friday 6th June to Kings A2 and since her admission it has been nothing but a shambles. She has been the victim of 'hospital politics' where basically no one was willing to make decision about her care. Her notes took far too long to come up from the consultant. Finally a decision was made to operate, this was 2 days ago and she is still waiting. Her operation was scheduled to take place this morning and so has not eaten since last night. Now at 9pm it has been cancelled. My mother has had nothing to eat for 27 hours and is completely and utterly pee'd off

Thank you for providing feedback, and I am very sorry that we have had to cancel your mother's operation today. I can understand how distressing this is for you and your mother. The decision will have been made around patient safety. Please do email me and I will investigate the details and ensure that we undertake the operation as soon as we can.
