Was sent to the Treatment Centre this morning as had trouble with vision in one eye. Receptionist was very courteous, very professional in her job; greeting patients and staff warmly. The wait to be called into triage was only an hour, however to someone with white coat syndrome it felt like a year! Triage nurse was very polite and thorough in her questioning, if there was one thing I had to note as a negative is the fact that as a healthcare professional she should be aware of the many medications there are in the world. She had never heard of the insulin I use, and even asked me to spell it. I explained that I was very squeamish with people touching my eyes, she took note of this and did her best to make me not feel squeamish but still needed to get help reading the pressure in my eyes. The doctor I saw was very professional and made a very thorough examination of both eyes and explained things in a clear way. Follow up in 2 weeks, hopefully I can be just as positive about my visit then as I have been today.
"Excellent visit all round"
