About: Sheffield Children's Hospital

I recently had to bring my daughter to the X-ray department due to a problem with her jejunal feeding tube. I spoke to a surgical registrar about the problems we were having on the phone after he had received a referral from our local hospital. He was very helpful and promised to contact the X-ray department to arrange an appointment and that someone would be in touch to confirm it, I was amazed that after only around 20 minutes I received another call from a lovely lady from the X-ray department and she too was very helpful. We attended the department the next day as arranged and was called in almost immediately which was at least ten to fifteen minutes before our actual appointment time. My daughter needs a hoist for transfers and one was produced on request accompanied by very helpful staff to assist with getting her comfortably onto the bed. The doctors who performed the procedure were both lovely and I felt that my daughter was treated with respect throughout. Thankyou to all staff involved.
