"Mansfield and Ashfield Carers Group "

I have been a member of the Mansfield and Ashfield Carers Support Group for nine years. In the past the group has always ran superbly, myself and other have felt supported. The group used to have Healthcare Staff attend and run the group but due to cuts this has now stopped and the carers have been left to run and fund the group themselves, to the point where us who attend the carers group our selling some of our belongings to raise money for the group. The focus of the group has changed from support and respite to talking about funding and where we are going to raise money for the group. This group is important to myself and other carers and we as a group would like help to keep it running to enable carers receive the support they require.
