"Lack of follow up from health visitors"

(as the patient),

Firstly I had attended the local weigh clinic for children for support regarding my son's behaviour and on both a occasions they took my details 'and they'll be in touch' they said! Well I never heard anything! Ever!

Secondly I just received a letter for my son's 4 year developmental check but I had to change the date due to work and nursery. Rearranged the day for his check. Waiting thinking where's the health visitor? Well she'd only put it in her diary wrong.

So angry about the lack of support from them. Unless you are a child abuser or parent that cant cope then it feels they don't want to know. So fed up I might not be in when she shows up on the third arranged day, see how they like it!

I am extremely sorry to hear that you have not been satisfied with the service that you have received from our health visiting service. Our health visitors are committed to providing the highest quality service and support to parents across the city and I can only apologise again for the mix up of times involving the health visitor.
