There are two suggestions I would like to make:

1. Co-ordinating the services from my GP to Hospital can be unnecessarily complicated. The letter which was delayed by 3 days at the surgery, went to the Clinical Assessment Service where it was delayed for several more days. The letter then gets passed to the NHS Treatment Centre where several days later I am informed of an appointment. The answer is simple - "streamline the system". Use "process manangement" to speed up the system and save money!

2. My surgery provides a good service overall. The doctors, nurses and reception staff are friendly and helpful. The one weak area is the Doctor Dispensing Service - it is clear that the staff are not as skilled as pharmacists. Often prescription queries are fobbed off to someone else and not resolved by the "dispensary". This has involved extra hassle for the patient, and sometimes (due to their system) extra cost for the patient. I am not the only patient to experience this, or to be unhappy about it.
