The lack of communications is appalling, leaving patients confused and upset. No inter departmental liaison, My husband was phoned twice at home when he was having an operation. Letters were sent to discuss scans when they had already been dealt with, important appointments have been cancelled and appointments made without our knowledge. Told to go to our doctor where they were expecting us. not so. Appointments made for something that had already been done,. My husband has dementia and this is having a bad effect on us and cannot be tolerated. I need to know that this scenario cannot carry on. I am a trustee of the hospital and having spoken to a consultant on several occasion concerning my husband, but nothing seems to have changed. My nerves are torn to shreds and I aim to not stand still on this. His life was in the balance at one stage because of one department warning the other about certain medications. The list goes on.
"total lack of communication, mistakes being made..."
