"Poor care of shoulder injury - hospital not specified"

I fell and hurt my shoulder, at first i thought i had sprained or staved it, after 2 days I went to A & E where the doctor on duty told me I had torn my muscles, go home 'RICE' and if no improvemnt in four weeks see my GP. This was only after a wait of under ten minutes, so the department was not under any emergency strees. Went to GP who sent me for an x-ray five weeks after the accident , results to be sent to GP 10 to 14 days later, clinic informed me 10 days later that my shoulder bone was chipped and that physio therapy would take three months for the shoulder and arm to get back to normal, if this shoulder was x-rayed at the time, I could have started physio earlier and not been in so much pain. Being brought up when you were taught that Doctors knew best I did not doubt his judgement, I did not demand an x-ray but with hindsight this is what should have happened. I would have expected an injury where the patient could not lift their arm upwards or sidewards would have demanded an x-ray to rule out any fractures.
