What could be improved

My elderly grandparents travelled all the way to derriford after waiting 6 weeks to see the consultant. They parked; paid; arrived at 1000 early for their appointment. they waited and waited 1 hour past their appointment time someone came to tell them that the consultant had cancelled!!! This is abuse - where was he seeing his private patients somewhere i expect... you cannot mess around with the elderly like that - i wish i was there because i could have demanded action - however my elderly grandparents do not want to cause a fuss. they have to come back and do that again next week...
