"appointment times thatcannot be met ? (why make..."

About: Leigh Infirmary

Just returned from an appoitment with the doctor in gastroenterology 2 50 pm (second app first one cancelled) the doctor wasnt on duty ut after sitting in waiting area for over an hour when only one patient was seen lwas a little miffed to find that when l thought it was my turn (1 hour late) awheel chair patient just arrived was took for consultation and l was dismissed with the comment ambulance patients have priority with which considering nearly one hour per patient l had no alterative but to leave without consultation my point is my time is just asvaluable to me as the doctors, nurses, ambulance drivers ect, we are continually bombarded with notices saying how important appointments are kept the cost of no show but the nhs fails to recognise this works both ways in these busy times

Thank you for your posting following your appointment in the Gastroenterology Department out-patient clinic. We were sorry to learn of your poor experience and whilst we will share you posting with the relevant areas, we would be happy to look further into this if you would like to contact the Patient Relations Department with details.

Kind regards
