"Availability of food at weekends"

I do think the hospital needs to have some policy in place for those people sitting with very sick relatives over the weekend. I sat with my very sick mother all day Saturaday and when I went to get somthing to eat at 7.30 with a long night ahead, found that Costa had closed, even though visiting times end at 8.00 pm. I had a sandwich at lunchtime. My mother died in the early hours of Sunday morning. I am sure this is a problem throughout the hospital and needs to be addressed. In every other way the hospital was faultless in the care and consideration bothe for my mother and myself.
