"Walk-in-Centre"

About: Croydon University Hospital

The walk in centre is called 'urgent care' and collocated with A&E, so you mustn't use the main hospital entrance. The car park is a bit expensive (2 GBP for 1 hour). I came for a soar throat because my GP had a 8 days delay, was checked for critical state within minutes (blood pressure, pulse, oxymetry, temperature) then had to wait a bit more than 2 hours for a doc, which is much much better than 8 days ! The waiting room could be improved, putting all potentially contagious patients in the same room is frightening. Overall it's nice to now that they are not only doing A&E so if you need a GP within 48 hours it's fine to go there. I bet the waiting time can be longer sometimes: take a book. I also appreciated the initial check that let me thing that emergencies will be treated quickly.
