"Coming back home to receive proper ..."

About: North Manchester General Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

Coming back home to receive proper care and respect is something that I looked forward too. The food was inedible and as for support staff on J4 Ward, some of the personal need to change their attitude. Are they really passionate about providing quality care or are they interested in salaries.

What could be improved

I was recently admited as an in patient at North Manchester General Hospital and spent the time on the Infectious Diseases Ward. As a person living with HIV?AIDS I am somewhat amazed why we are being treated as being infectious?

Anything else?

I have never had consistency with the Doctors I've seen. I have had to repeat time after time the very long story at each appointment. The care staff seem to work under the premise " The whole HIV treatment Centre is third rate. It is badly managed.

We were sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction with the service you received on J4 at North Manchester General Hospital. The ward manager has responded to say that should you wish, she would be happy to meet with you to discuss your concerns further and will endeavour to improve the service where possible. You may contact the ward direct or via the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) by emailing enquiries@pat.nhs.uk
