I attended Fairfield A and E following a GP home visit to my 85yr old mother. With the media publicity in general these days we were very unhappy to have to go there. My mother was particularly frightened of the possibility of admission. Neither of us needed to have worried. The attention she received was second to none from all the health care professionals. The paramedics were attentive and the young lady who was the first responder was very skilled indeed , she had a very relaxing manner and I cannot compliment her enough. It was a shame that she had a faulty ECG/ Monitor in the ambulance though, what about spending for decent equipment before someone dies and the coroner gets involved?? The hospital staff were superb and the registrar that assessed her was definately in the right job. A big bravo and thanks to them all, keep up the fantastic work you all do. Incidentally I am her daughter and a retired A and E sister and very choosy!
