"It was a stressful situation and didn't need unpleasantness"

About: Sheffield Children's Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as a parent/guardian),

One hospital wouldn't have her as she was special needs.

The Children's hospital eventually took her but had a hassle because she was over 16, with the receptionist saying they couldn't accept her (when the orthopaedic surgeon was waiting for her). When met by the orthopaedic surgeon there was an air of frostiness about him, there was no pleasantries at all just a lot of staring.

I felt very uneasy with him, was in a stressful situation and didn't need an unpleasant persona especially as my daughter has learning difficulties, I wanted someone helpful.

Halfway through his diagnosis he upped and left us so didn't know what was happening the sister had to find out.
