I was admitted to Walsall Manor Hospital on 29 May 2014 for the above procedure on both knees. All of the staff, Doctors, nurses and everyone who looked after me were very caring and helpful. I stayed in over night as I hadn't recovered from the general anaesthetic, the nurses who looked after me during the night were lovely and I seem to remember having toast at 12.45am although I had no idea of the time until I asked. There was a good choice of food for breakfast and it was well presented and hot. Lunch was very enjoyable as well. The nurses and staff during that day were lovely too and the young man who helped me walk with my crutches was very caring. (Not sure if I can name people). After 2 days at home I was able to walk around the house without the crutches and the bandages had become very loose and had fallen off as I had been advised. I am doing the physio 5 times a day as instructed after icing my knees. I think I am making good progress and look forward to having the dressings and stitches removed on Thursday. Thank you all for the excellent care I received.
