"I was admitted as an emergency ..."

About: Russells Hall Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I was admitted as an emergency for the removal of a spinal cord stimulator that had broken through the skin. At all times I was reassured and treated as an individual. The ward was clean and tidy and the staff were at all times pleasant, cheerfull, respectfull and approachable. The food was of an acceptable standard and adequate portions were provided. The nursing staff and doctors worked well together and explained the treatment as it was ongoing.Medication was giving regularly and correctly although the nursing staff seemed overstretched at times.

What could be improved

Car parking fees could be more reasonable and free for the disabled.

Anything else?

A very modern and well equiped hospital. Have been an inpatient many times on C5 and A1 and both wards are excellent.Would not hesitate if needed to be admitted again.
