"went in for minor op, when arrived ..."

About: Wexham Park Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

went in for minor op, when arrived the nurse did not seem to know about me, had to find my own name on the display board, after the op I was lying there forever with the O2 on but no obs where checked at all, the doctor came along whilst I was still half dozy from the GA to give me the result and then wanted me to leave, after I had arranged my escort for the time in the evening which was stated on the papers, just refused to be chucked out, and not to mention the terrible sore throat after the procedure from the intubation, I heard them talk about laryngeal spasm, but it was never mentioned to me, another lady had the same problem, so I thought she had the same anaesthetist, a poor old lady across the room was told at around 5 or maybe 6pm, that she is fit for discharge now and could also leave, and the nurses were explaining it in a way reducing her to tears(very rude with no sympathy at all), she was elderly and not very mobile they expected her to be ready to make her own way home now, her daughter was away, no one there to take care of her, luckily they changed her mind and kept her overnight, I thought discharges are being planned and not just in the last minute
