"Awful! Shocking treatment"

About: Hinchingbrooke Hospital

Been diabetic for 8 years, have been under this hospital for most of the 8 years and this is where I was diagnosed. You never get to see a Consultant even though it is your right to be seen by a Specialist, not just a nurse, after blood was taken I was promised phone call after phone call but nothing, my diabetes is in a bad way and feel the hospital could of done a lot better in helping my keep it under control, it has now got to the stage I had to ask for a referal to a different hospital. How this hospital was voted best in England is beyond me, it's nothing more than a joke. I was once admiited with DKA and left to fend for myself at 2am when being discharged with no way of getting home.
