About: Royal United Hospital

I had an appointment for my rare genetic disorder today and the consultant did not even had my records up on the system to what's recently been done and what hasn't been. The Consultant i seen is not normally the one I had spoken to in the past, and seemed to have no idea to what was done or said about my disorder. I was sat by this consultant while she had to look up on Wikipedia exactly what the symptoms for this disorder was, what needed to be done etc. I had to explain that all of this was discussed and already had a plan to what must happen next in March. I felt I had spoke to someone who had no knowledge of this disorder I had to explain about and felt I had spoken to someone who never looked into my notes at all before entering the appointment. If I had the consultants I had before maybe it would of been a lot better as they knew more about my disorder and knew more about my medical history. I feel I had wasted an appointment that could of went to someone else in dire need of an appointment.
