"Lilac birthing centre"

Having read many bad reviews of the maternity care at this hospital I felt I had to leave a review detailing my experience. I gave birth to my daughter one month ago today in the lilac birthing center and was overwhelmed by the facilities and staff. Professional, friendly and simply amazing, especially the midwives on duty. The care was exceptional and worlds away from the rest of the maternity unit (labour wards, antenatal) I have 4 friends who have all had horrendous experiences at this hospital but I must stress these were not in the lilac center. If you do decide to use this hospital be sure to demand the lilac center...otherwise you will live to regret it. It's not fair to make sweeping statements re the facilities at this hospital as the standard of care is dependent on which floor you are on. It may only be one floor down but the standard of care is miles apart.
