"Hospital Feedback"

About: St George's Hospital (Tooting) (London)

I had an outpatient appointment for the St James wing Orthopaedic clinic, I was once again left with no explanation why my appointment time was 2pm and at 4.30pm I had still not seen my consultant. I spoke with a member of staff who said my Medical records were missing so this is why you have not been seen yet, after asking to speak to a manager, they said after a further wait of 40 mins, I will get a senior member of staff to see you and explain what is happening, she said the surgeon is refusing to see you unless he has your medical records, again why the surgeon did who operated on me not come and talk to me himself, I had travelled from Sheerness in Kent over 50 miles each way to be treated like this, I have only been out of hospital for 7 weeks after major surgery on my right hip and leg, this is disgraceful treatment from members of this clinic and senior members of staff, I was also taken in to a side room where we was left alone only to see other patients records left for us to look at without staff around, then we see the computer was left open and all my medical details were on the screen, very poor hospital, But the CEO needs to take responsibility for the poor service his staff and consultant have given to me and many other we had spoken with in the waiting area. there is more information and more I could add, but I would run out of space, so I have given a brief account, not that I expect this to be looked at or taken seriously by the management.
