"Visited Day surgery for orthopaedic procedure"

I went in to the day surgery unit yesterday (03.06.14) and cannot rate these guys highly enough. They were all so friendly and helpful that it made my experience there so much better. I was last on the list and I was kept well informed at all times and the nurses did everything they could to accommodate me during this time. My procedure was carried out under general anaesthetic and the whole team, from the anaesthetist to the surgeons to the nurse and everyone else involved were just brilliant. they alleviated any worries I had, remaining professional at all times, but was so lovely to have light hearted banter with them all, which helped to take my mind off the procedure itself. The nurses were very attentive and made arrangements to make sure I had extra pain relief and was comfortable before going home. I would say to anyone that is attending Weymouth Community Hospital for a surgical procedures in the Day Surgery Unit, they are brilliant, a lovely bunch of hard working people that make a painful visit so much more enjoyable if you can call it that!!
