What I liked

We were seen quickly on initial visit to A&E. However because of a name mix up, my wife was seen by the wrong department.

What could be improved

Cleanliness - place was filthy! My local corner shop has its floors cleaned more often. Many "nurses" hanging around doing very little No communication on how long we would have to wait. Only got results of blood test after hunting down the doctor ourselves. Nurses making private phonecalls in our cubicle. Nurses being unaware that the doctor had put our prescription in their tray - causing further 30 minute wait. Several times we were told 'I'll just go and get ....', and then waited around 45 minutes.

I am not sure what the rules are but also concerned that nurse/orderly gave us prescribed drugs - was trying to be helpful so we wouldn't have to return the following day for the prescription. 5 hour waiting time.
