"Rude receptionist"

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

On arriving back in the UK after an accident abroad where U was treated with respect and dignity, arrived back to a very rude receptionist at Queen's A&E. After checking in at window 1 was asked to wait for the next window to complete registration. There were 2 further queues including a window which said Navigator. We queued and was shouted at by the Navigator receptionist "well I am not coming to you. You have to come to me". They were so rude. Horrible attitude, too busy chatting with other staff members who also seemed embarrassed by her attitude. We couldn't believe she was actually talking to us but unfortunately she was. Horrible person who should not be in this job. Surely empathy and kindness is needed as well as a professional attitude not some surly, common, rude and uncaring couldn't care less attitude.

Thank you for your comment. I am very sorry that you felt our receptionist was rude to you when you visited our A&E. This is not acceptable, but to be able to look into this further we require some more information. Please contact me through our PALS team on 01708 435 454 or email PALS@bhrhospitals.nhs.uk. Yours sincerely Stephen Burgess Medical Director
