"Satisfied with lincoln labour and nettleham ward"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Maternity

(as the patient),

In April, my little boy was born by c-section, I read reviews before going in and I was terrified! When I was there I had absolutely no problems, the place wasn't disgusting.

OK the food was horrible, but you're there to have a child not a holiday. I didn't have everybody saying hello or introducing themselves, but why should you expect that? They have jobs to do and there are hundreds of mothers and babies there at a time who need different things.

If you come home with a healthy baby and you are recovering nicely, then stop complaining! If you need something, ask for it and they tell you this anyway. Take your home comforts, pack your kitchen sink. You'll be doing the same thing you'd be at home just in your own little area, with weird people around you. You can just close the curtain!

There are people in critical condition there, I think other people should just be thankful they're not.

Mothers to be - don't be scared, it's absolutely fine. It's what you expect a hospital to be.

Dear Mad House

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments. I will pass on your concerns about the food to the catering manager. May I wish you and your baby well for the future.
