"Continuity of care at hospitals across Greater Manchester"
Posted by HWT (as ),
At one point over the last year, I was going to five different hospitals to see consultants for different health issues. At each appointment, I had to waste my time in each appointment retelling my history and, because each hospital can't see my notes from previous appointments at other hospitals, it became apparent that no-one is overseeing the care and joining up the dots. It was like each bit of my body was being seen and dealt with separately.
AS a result, things end up getting sent back to your GP instead of them being able to deal with it there and then. I think people are getting sicker because of this.
