We were very lucky to be offered the Purple Butterfly Room for the final three days of my mother's life. It was such a relief to have the privacy and space for her many relatives and loved ones to come and say their final goodbyes and for her three sons to be with her at the end. I cannot speak more highly of the kindness and compassion with which we were all treated.

Although my mother's death was a long time coming, we were never made to feel that there was any pressure for the space. I wish everybody who is in this sad situation could have access to such a facility, and certainly at my mother's funeral we have decided to take a collection for the Purple Butterfly Appeal.

We are very sorry to hear of your loss, but are pleased that you and your family were able to remain in the privacy and comfort of the Purple Butterfly Suite during this sad time. It is also good to know that you were treated with such kindness and compassion by Trust staff.

Your comments will be passed on to the staff concerned and have been fed back to the Trust’s Charity Officer also. Thank you for choosing the Purple Butterfly Appeal for your collection. The charity is always grateful for support and donations and is continuing to raise funds to open the next Purple Butterfly Suite.
