I began feeling unwell on Bank holiday Monday and with no GP surgery available I went to A&E at Good Hope. My wife left me at the entrance to A&E and by the time she parked the car and returned I had been booked in and was being seen by a Doctor in the Majors unit. After several tests were conducted it was decided to admit me overnight. Although it was well into the night doctors came and explained everything to me regarding the actions they intended to take. The professionalism, care and friendliness of all the medical, nursing and auxiliary staff in both the A&E Majors Unit and Ward 7 throughout my brief stay was excellent and I would like to thank all those involved in these two Units. The only criticism I have is the very extended wait while the pharmacy prepared medication prior to discharge
