I was admitted to ward 28 whilst I was waiting for an ablation procedure. I am a 34 year old woman who has never really been ill and the only time I have spent in hospital was when I was having my children. I was very distressed and upset about being admitted to hospital, and very concerned about the procedure that I was due to have. The nurses and care staff on ward 28 cared for myself and the other patients exceptionally well, nothing was too much trouble for them. I cannot thank them enough for their compassion and kindness, and for making my stay at Glenfield a very pleasant one. I was seen everyday by a doctor/consultant (even at weekends), they explained every thing to me in language that I could understand and put my mind at ease about the procedure that I was having. Overall my experience at Glenfield has changed my life for the better. I have received an operation that has potentially saved my life and I will be forever grateful to everyone who had any part in my care and treatment.
