I was recently admitted to Bassetlaw Hospital following a failed procedure where a private provider has failed. The gynae team there picked up the challenge and treated me with respect and dignity they were considerate and knowledgeable about what needed to be done to move me towards recovery. I was given a separate room with shower and toilet and whilst the environment was quite tired and worn ( which is a shame as the exceptional service down ) I couldn't complain about anything else. As a teaching hospital it is both re-assuring and challenging in equal measure - as a patient you may find yourself repeating your situation and symptoms over and over as new rota's come in and new registrars come in however in my situation this seemed well managed ( although small suggestion of refreshing with notes on computer and physical notes to ensure all staff on all rotas are up to speed especially for day patients ) The nurses are exceptional they put you at ease whilst remaining professional and knowledgeable and offer re-assurance at a time you are likely feeling unwell and a little anxious. They introduce themselves in first names and immediately you feel relaxed and in good hands. Apart from a few minor issues on B6 reference tatty decor and improving consultant communications about patient cases I cannot fault Bassetlaw Hospital thats twice now they've literally saved me from potentially severe health situations and for a smaller local hospital its clinical service offering is exceptional Thank you to all doctors and nurses on B6 your amazing !
"Amazing treatment where independent provider has..."
