I had gall bladder surgery at the Queen's Medical Centre. The best bit is that when you go in for the operation, all the tests have already been carried out, and so you're not left waiting too long on the day.
The worst bit is not feeling like an individual after your operation and being told all day that they don't know when you'll be able to go home, but then sending you home late in the evening before you've been able to arrange a lift. I was in so much pain that my husband had to almost carry me to the car. There should be a proper time to leave and a proper signing-out procedure.
