I would just like to say how grateful I am to all the staff at the Freeman Hospital. I was referred to the Renal Unit for an urgent consultation and received excellent treatment and diagnosis of my condition. All of the Nursing Staff and hospital consultants were really caring, compassionate and understanding, demonstrating a great deal of professionalism and expertise. After a series of initial tests, I was quickly admitted to Ward 32 for a biopsy. Again, all of the staff were extremely caring and did everything possible to support me during my stay in hospital. The food was lovely too. I am especially grateful to the consultant nephrologist who looked after and reassured me throughout from the initial tests and consultation, to performing my biopsy, and then deciding on what treatment was required. He's a very skilled and knowledgeable person. All of the staff at the Freeman Hospital were excellent, caring and work really hard. Cath from the North Tyneside PALS team was also a big help in sorting out an issue with an appointment request that had gone astray from another hospital. I would definitely recommend the Freeman Hospital to others and I would like to thank them for everything they have done for me :o)
