"Fantastic care"

I have just had my daughter by elective c section at Wexham having chosen this hospital over my local one. From my booking appointment right through to the postnatal care, I cannot fault the staff who are caring and courteous. The delivery itself was a really positive experience - a wonderful all-female team in theatre brought my daughter into the world. And the postnatal ward was fantastic - superb care and attention from dedicated, genuinely lovely midwives, nurses and support workers in spotlessly clean surroundings. I had been a little concerned after Wexham was put under special measures, however I shouldn't have worried and could see no evidence of substandard care. My only gripe would be that handovers and communication between teams can sometimes be a bit lacking - eg the message hadn't been passed on by the doctors that I could go home leading to quite a long wait to be discharged. However overall I'd have no hesitation in recommending Wexham and its lovely staff.
