"ward 2"

About: Royal Bournemouth General Hospital

I was in ward 2 from the 7th -15th may 2014 with breathing problems. There were 6 of us in the bay with similar problems and we were able to discuss different ways of coping etc. The staff were brilliant , kind and caring..Doctors explained everything and therapist's all arranged for visits for help at home. The red team, who I originally contacted were also good and visited while in hospital ,also called when I got home. Last October I ended up in ward 3 which was horrendous and it was so nice to go into a specialised ward (ward 2) Thank you ps Food was excellent hot and filling which is what I needed.

Dear Elizabeth Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. It is always encouraging to the staff when they receive such positive feedback. All feedback is shared with the wards to inform and improve the services we provide. I am pleased to hear that you found the staff to be kind and caring and they worked well as a team, keeping you informed and making sure home visits and follow ups were carried out. It is also good to hear you found the food was hot, appetising and filling as this can be a difficult balance to get right given individual appetites and food tastes. Thank you again for your feedback Kind regards Sue Mellor Head of Patient Engagement
