I delivered my 2nd baby at the Midwife Led Unit in mid May 2014 and found it to be a fantastic experience. The unit itself is lovely, very welcoming, calm and comforting and the all of the staff I had contact with were supportive, genuine and professional. From my initial phone call to the unit during labour to the time we left with our new baby, I felt secure in the care I received and respected as an individual. This made a huge difference to how my labour and birth proceeded and was a total contrast to my first birth experience on the standard labour ward at the same hospital. I would recommend birthing at the unit to anyone.
