Twice in just over two weeks I had horrendous period with very heavy bleeding leading to unconsciousness. Taken to A&E in ambulance then on to Gynae ward. I can't praise the staff enough (my own GP, paramedics A&E staff and ward staff.) Still nervous about having hysterectomy but knowing that I will be getting the best of care makes it all a little less scary!
