I went to A&E at the North Middlesex in early December after a fall which fractured my wrist. The waiting time was quite short and I've no complaints about the care there or in the Fracture Clinic over the next few weeks. I did have to go into the hospital to have an operation to pin the fracture at Christmas, though, and the ward was mixed sex and depressing. The staff kept a loud phone-in programme going till 2 am so very difficult to get to sleep, and then I was roughly woken several times during the night to have blood pressure checked etc. Food a bit better than when I was last an in-patient there in 1992.
