(as the patient),

What I liked

From attending A and E with a broken arm on Fri.17th Oct. to my discharge from Physio on Tues.13th Jan.my treatment at Macclesfield Hospital can only be described as excellent. My injury was dealt with promptly, efficiently and sympathetically by all the A and E staff and much needed pain relief was administered immediately on my arrival.

Staff in the Fracture Clinic were equally efficient and, apart from my first visit, waiting time was minimal.

The friendly and professional physiotherapy team have been invaluable in helping me to regain mobility of my arm and I would like to express my gratitude to everyone for the treatment I received. It certainly could not have been bettered by the private sector.

.

What could be improved

As far as I am concerned, treatment could not have been better.

Thank you for writing in with your very positive feedback about your care and treatment at Macclesfield Hospital. It is very good to read that you received prompt attention in A&E, and that you felt staff were efficient and sympathetic. The A&E department is always busy during Autumn and Winter, so we are pleased that patients continue to receive an excellent service despite being under pressure.

We are also glad to read that you experienced an efficient service in the fracture clinic, and that you didn’t have to wait long. The fracture clinic is also very busy during the cold weather.

Thank you also for sending in your comments about our Physiotherapy team. We are pleased that they helped you to regain the mobility in your arm, and that you felt the Physiotherapists were friendly.

Your comments will be passed on to the A&E, Physiotherapy and Orthopaedic teams.
