About: Princess Royal University Hospital (Orpington)

I was referred to A&E by my GP. I encountered the usual waiting & lack of interest or information from staff. The seating is really uncomfortable & I was feeling quite ill so wanted to lie down but waiting area forces you to sit. Gave up after an hour or so & my wife took me home. Uncomfortable & dehumanising experience. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

I am very sorry that on arrival in our Emergency Department the triage service did not identify that you felt too unwell to sit in reception and that you were not altered any alternative. The staff behaviour you describe is not what we would expect and it is deeply regrettable that you returned home without being reviewed. I will of course raise this with the manager of the front line reception and triage area.
