"My husband was full of praise for the kindness and efficiency of the ward"

(as a relative),

I brought my husband to the Arthur South Day Procedure Unit at the NNUH on Saturday for an operation. We were both impressed with the professionalism and care my husband received from the moment we arrived to the moment he left. Obviously it is an anxious and stressful time when people come into hospital but we both felt he was in good safe hands and trusted the staff to do a good job - we were not disappointed.

On 2 occasions I telephoned the Day Unit and received a thorough response to my queries with care being taken by checking with the ward that the information given was correct.

My husband was full of praise for the kindness and efficiency of the ward and theatre staff and could not have spoken more highly of them. He was well looked after and felt his experience could not have been better.

I only want to say that I am tired of hearing the NHS knocked continually and feel there should be praise given for the care given to patients and relatives by the majority of all disciplines within our wonderful NHS. They are to be applauded.
